Note that I’m referring to the last run of the *real* Impala SS (LT1-powered) from 1994-1996, not the glorified Lumina that they now call an “Impala”.

hi i could use some info on a heat problem, first off my heater started blowing cool air so i replaced my thermostat this seemed to cure the problem for a short period, today it did it agian cool air blowing from the heater.
when i touched the hoses going to the heater core the top [...]

Motor heats up. Both heater hoses hot. Seams like one heater hose is much cooler than the other.  If this car has a heater control valve that stuck closed that might stop the flow to the heater core.
Is there a restrictor of some kind in the heater hose to slow the flow of coolant thru [...]

Look for a ‘94-up Roadmaster wagon.  Same engine as Impala SS, but it’s limited to 108mph due to the non-speed-rated tires.  That can be fixed. Have fun cruisin’ high 15’s in a stock full-sized wagon!
