Question: As there are no adapters out on the market, you will need to find a > V8 parts car. Take the entire front suspension assembly(upper to lower > control arms, and everything attached to them), along with the rear end > assembly(self explanatory)…..After that, it is just a matter of > swapping in the parts…..Good luck, and happy hunting.

Answer: Bill is correct; because there are no adapters, you’re gonna have to do some parts hunting. That’s half the fun, though! But I will throw in by 2 cents.
Actually, for a ‘67, the front end is a bit easier. Unlike the 65-66, the ‘67 uses the same steering parts (tie rods, center link, etc.) for both the 200 and 289. Same goes for the control arms and spindles; here I disagree with Bill (Bill, please check and correct me if I’m wrong, buddy! Just don’t tell my wife I was wrong; I’ll never hear the end of it!); I beleive these parts are the same for the 200 and the 289. The coil springs are different, however. For your needs, the easiest thing to do is to take the entire spindle assembly (spindle, brake parts and all) off of a 67/68 Mustang (a 66/67 Fairlane will work too) and replace the whole assembly. This will also give you the bigger 10″ brakes on the front, along with your 5 lugs. And since the 67 used the same master cylinder and rubber brake hoses at the wheel for the 200 and 289, this shouldn’t be a problem; and you’re gonna want to change the rear end as Bill suggested anyway.
And I agree with Bill on the rear axle, too. Although someone like Currie could probably make you a set of 5-lug axles to fit the small rear end, your best bet IMHO is to swap the rear end to an 8″ unit from another ‘67.
Now Chet, with all that having been said, this appears to be a *lot* of work just to get the 5-lug wheels. Actually, if you’re not planning a v8 swap, I personally wouldn’t bother. Although your choices are somewhat limited in wheel selection, I think you should be able to find something you like. Since you were just looking for adapters, you’re probably thinking right now that there’s no way you’d go to all this trouble! I wouldn’t either.
It’s funny you should mention this; I’m getting ready to swap a 67 200 to a v8 (apologies to the purists out there) and have had to do a lot of research for this kind of stuff. Luckily I also have a 67 289 car that I can use for reference.
