Question: I am looking at a 1996 ford F150 with 4.9 liter. This will sound silly but I had my life saved in my Nissan truck by the crumble zones. It seems the 1996 does not have them. Do any new ford trucks either the Ranger or 150 have them or does the 96 have them and I can not find them

Yes, look here at a late model bronco’s (same as F’s, etc.) crumple area up front on the frame horns: http://www.off-road.com/ford/bigbroncos/tech/recovery/
Also, crumple is designed into the hood, and on the Late Broncos in the cab roof area that includes a built-in “roll bar” (strengthened area).
How was your life saved? Please explain so that it will help us to understand.
