Is 25000 miles (40000 km) really possible?

Question:
Looking at an Amway personal shopper’s catalog, I saw Amway’s “Freedom” synthetic oil (15W50) guarantees up to 25000 miles or one year, which comes first between oil change. Even though it’s synthetic, is this 25000 miles (40000 km) really possible?
Also, is the retail price of USD 54 per case (12 quart) reasonable?
Answer:
Our family used to use Amway Freedom oil. We used it on all three of our cars. We have an 87′ Nissan Sentra (high rev. engine), 84′ Chevrolet Impala, and a 72′ Chevrolet pick-up truck.
The Impala has a 305 and the truck has a 350.
The oil itself is very good. We had no problems at all except:
1) you must buy enough so that you have plenty of extras. Do not mix this oil with other brands. Usually it takes about a week to order this stuff and if you’re low, then you have to wait.
2) in the old 350, the engine would tap in the morning during the cold start. It would only last abut 10 minutes but it bothered us.
I changed the Nissan back to Pensoil because of the time it took to order the stuff. The truck was changed because of its age, however, the Impala still uses Freedom and does well.
If you order enough (about 6), I would say it would do fine.
