Question:

I bought the corvette specialist data book (for sales use only) from someone on ebay.

Its got some interesting info on the 2K vette.

in the back it tells sales people and service people about how a corvette buyer should be treated.

It says that if your vette is serviced and needs to stay overnight, that a Z28 Camaro should be provided as a take home car, as a courtesy.

It also says that new buyers of corvettes automatically receive 4 free years of the corvette quarterly magazine.

Has anyone experienced the need to leave thier vette overnight at the dealer, and received a Z28 ?

Also, I bought a new 2K c5 3 months ago, and havent heard anything about the corvette quarterly magazine.  Has anyone that bought new got their quarterly magazine?

Answer:

I bought my 2K in Nov 99 and received two or three issues already. It is OK, but I don’t think it is as good as it was back in the ’70s when I bought my ‘70 new, though.Seems like mostly promotional stories and ads.

2000 Green coupe Left mine overnight a few times, received a Dodge Intrepid or some such creature.  They use the Enterprise car rental next door. A while back I ordered a kit from GM on past model information. It came with a book entitled Corvette Specifications (in my case it was a 94). Has that same sales info in it about giving the owner a “comparable” car if they have to leave the vette overnight. Also has a section about who buys Corvettes, how to handle the sale etc (introduce the potential buyer to the service manager etc)…kit was free from GM by the way….
