Question:
Does anyone know where to buy and how to add an OEM CD changer to an in-dash CD player in a 2000 Corvette. Has anyone had issues with the OEM changer? Who makes the OEM changer? Should I just install an aftermarket changer like a Sony, Kenwood or Alpine?
Thanks,
Answer:
You can try www.corvetteforum.com. They have an audio forum you shoul find helpful. If you have the Bose you can install the stock changer because the wiring is there. I haven`t done it so try them for advice.
66 ragtop, 89 coupe, 92 6speed coupe. and to show we ain`t all yuppies, 50 pan/shovel, 69 xlh, 72 xlh, 79 flh. Currently 2000 C5 HT & 85 fxwg. Vettes are cool but outlaw bobjob Harleys rule! I was at a corvette show recently and a guy was selling corvette brochures. One of them was the 2000 corvette accessory broshure, and it had the 12 disc cd changer in there. ask your dealer about it. Don’t get the OEM changer. I bought an extra magazine from the dealer for
over $50. I wonder what the changer would cost to replace!
