Does the OTHER proposed 1970 camaro still exist?
filed in 1970 Z28
Question:
I remember seeing a pic of a prototype 1970 camaro that looked just like the 69, but with square or rectangular parking lights & different stripes on the hood/nose!! Does this car still exist? Wonder if they would have put a 350 in this car if it was to be the 1970 z28! & automatic! It would have been faster but not as good a handler as the real 1970 one.
Answer:
I was at Chapters on the weekend and flipped thru a “musclecar price guide” and found a 1970 Camaro. I think this is the one you’re talking about!
Pic was a GM shot (1970 Plate on the car) but the car was a 69. The 69 body, not a 2nd gen. I believe that’s why they’re sometimes called 70-1/2 Camaros. I believe the fender tags said 350.
If I go back to chapters, I’ll get the title.
